العائلة / Al 3aïla hangs in the lobby of the Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech from Tuesday 23 September 2026 to Wednesday 30 December 2026. Ismail Zaidy is a Marrakech photographer, born in the city in 1997, who also works under the name L4artist. He studied international management at Cadi Ayyad and started making pictures in 2017 on a Samsung Galaxy S5. The rooftop of the family apartment is the studio he calls Studio Sa3ada. The 2018 project 3aila, the Arabic word for family, is the thread he still works. His younger brother Othmane and his sister Fatima Zahra appear in the pictures and help plan them. Vivre Marrakech notes the 2019 Prix des Amis de l'Institut du Monde Arabe and a 2020 solo hang in Hassan Hajjaj's gallery.

The hotel puts the hang in its art programme and keeps the work in the lobby rather than a separate ticketed gallery. That is useful if you are already on Route du Golf Royal for a meal or a day visit. It is also a hotel lobby. Dress as you would for a palace hotel, and ask at reception if a private event has closed the space. The pictures themselves are rooftop tableaux. Fabric, pastel colour, and family sit in front of a Marrakech sky. The Vivre Marrakech card for the show uses a line of figures in red, pink and white cloth against a terrace wall, with the dates 23 September to 30 December printed on the same graphic. My Little Kech ran a second still from the 3aila series, two people on a tiled roof joined by a length of pink cloth. None of those pages replace a hotel press room, and none invent a close date later than 30 December 2026.

Petit taxi from the médina or Gueliz toward the Palmeraie and the golf road. The hotel is not a walk from Jemaa el-Fna.
