Yves Saint Laurent en scène / Yves Saint Laurent Onstage is the current permanent exhibition at the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech. The museum's French current-exhibition page prints 30 January 2026 to 5 January 2027. This is a different hang from Sur les traces d'Odette du Puigaudeau in the temporary gallery. It is also a different artifact from the cine-club programme. You can see both exhibitions on one timed ticket if you want the full museum. Curators are Domitille Éblé, head of collections at Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris, and the couturier Stephan Janson. Scenography is by Jasmin Oezcebi, the same designer as the Odette rooms. Lighting is credited to Close Your Eyes.

The museum treats this hang as Act II after a 2024 presentation at the Fondazione Nicola Del Roscio in Rome. Marrakech adds unseen pieces from the Fondation Pierre Bergé Yves Saint Laurent in Paris plus international loans. The route sets sketches next to finished costumes, some of them made in the Karinska workshops. The English press release names Léon Bakst as the colour reference the rooms keep returning to.

The story the museum tells starts in Oran in 1950. Yves Mathieu-Saint-Laurent, then 13, saw Molière's L'École des femmes staged by Louis Jouvet's company, with sets and costumes by Christian Bérard. Christian Dior, his only employer before the house, pushed him toward Paris theatre. Roland Petit then gave him the costumes for the ballet Cyrano de Bergerac in 1959, then eight more ballets before the couture house opened in 1962. The collaboration with Zizi Jeanmaire includes the 1961 number Mon truc en plumes. Later stage work named in the dossier includes Beaumarchais' Le Mariage de Figaro for the Compagnie Renaud-Barrault in 1964, Arletty in Cocteau's Les Monstres sacrés at the Théâtre des Célestins in Lyon in 1966, and Claude Régy's 1974 production of Peter Handke's La Chevauchée sur le lac de Constance with Jeanne Moreau, Delphine Seyrig, Michael Lonsdale, Sami Frey and Gérard Depardieu. The visitor guide also points to the 1970 Casino de Paris revue with Zizi Jeanmaire, Rudolf Nureyev, Sylvie Vartan and Johnny Hallyday.
