سوق سمارين / Souk Semmarine
Covered main souk from Jemaa el-Fna toward Ben Youssef. Textiles, lanterns, souvenirs. A market spine, not a shopping mall.
About سوق سمارين / Souk Semmarine
Souk Semmarine is the covered street most visitors walk when they say they went to the souks. It runs north from Jemaa el-Fna and feeds the narrower trades: leather, metal, spices, carpets. UNESCO 331 protects the médina’s souks as a living historic town. Hours are stall by stall, roughly daytime, quieter Friday midday. Bargain is expected. For a local produce run, Bab Doukkala and the Thursday flea at Bab El Khemis are the better rows (not yet seeded). This is a market. The URL is /markets/souk-semmarine.
