Marion Cotillard will chair the 23rd Marrakech film festival jury

On 13 October 2026 the Fondation du Festival International du Film de Marrakech / مؤسسة المهرجان الدولي للفيلم بمراكش named Marion Cotillard president of the jury for the 23rd edition. The French and English communiqués went up the same day on marrakech-festival.com/communiques-de-presse. Dates, e-passes and halls sit on the festival event page. This note is the appointment.

The jury she will chair awards the Étoile d'Or / النجمة الذهبية. The prize is for first and second feature films in the international competition. That rule is in the 13 October text, dated Rabat. Other jury names are not in that release. The jury page currently shows Cotillard as présidente and stops there.

Cotillard has been in Marrakech for the festival since its early years. The French communiqué quotes her: « J'ai la chance de venir au Festival de Marrakech depuis ses tout débuts, c'est l'ADN de ce festival. » The English PDF says first films are part of the festival's DNA and that chairing this jury is a joy. Use those lines. Do not paste a speech she did not give this month.

The same PDF walks her recent work in one block. Annette with Leos Carax. Little Girl Blue with Mona Achache. Lee Miller opposite Kate Winslet. Season four of The Morning Show in 2025, with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. The Ice Tower with Lucile Hadžihalilović. Coming: Bertrand Mandico's Roma Elastica, Guillaume Canet's Karma, Nicole Garcia's Milo, and Emmanuelle Bercot's The Enraged, which the release says she is filming. She is a Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. That is the festival's own list, not a critic ranking.

Previous-edition jury on the Palais des Congrès festival stage

If you are trying to sit in a hall in November, the clock that matters now is the e-pass, not a film title. Public and cinema-professional registrations open 26 October 2026 on accreditations.festivalmarrakech.org. Press closes 31 October 2026. You must be 18. One English paragraph on that portal still says "22nd edition" while the header and the dates say 23rd, 20 to 28 November 2026. Trust the header. After the office validates the form you get an e-pass and an app code by email. Films in the Palais des Congrès Hall of Ministers are subtitled in Arabic, English and French unless a session says otherwise. Write accreditation@festivalmarrakech.org if the form blocks you.

What you should not do is plan around the Conversations still sitting on the homepage. Bong Joon-ho, Guillermo del Toro, Jodie Foster and the rest are dated 29 November to 6 December. Those are leftover 22nd-edition cards. The 23rd official selection is not posted as of 16 October 2026. When titles land they will land on marrakech-festival.com, not in this article.

Previous-edition awards line on the Palais des Congrès stage

The photographs here are from a previous Palais des Congrès night, official festival stills of the jury line and the awards line on that Hivernage stage. They are not the 2026 jury. Cotillard's 2026 companions have not been named. The 2026 press card, Cotillard on a burgundy field with the 23rd-edition line, is on the event hub.

Industry traffic around the same week is Atlas Workshops, 9th edition, on site 22 to 26 November 2026, with Atlas Distribution Meetings 23 to 26 November. That is atlasateliers.marrakech-festival.com, not a public ticket. Foundation office: +212 537 572 395, Avenue Addolb, Secteur 13, Bloc P, n°13, Hay Riad, Rabat. The Palais des Congrès is in Hivernage. Petit taxi there, not to Rabat.

If you only needed the week, the halls, and the leftover-card warning, use the event page. This page exists because 13 October changed who sits at the head of the Étoile d'Or table, and because the e-pass window opens ten days from today.
